This privacy policy explains how Portaan Nahkurinverstas Oy collects, processes and discloses personal data regarding its customers, potential customers, cooperation partners and other persons who interact with us through the websites nahkurinverstas.fi and traveltammela.fi.

The policy is a register and privacy policy in accordance with the Personal Data Act (523/1999, sections 10 and 24) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

PURPOSE OF PROCESSING PERSONAL DATA

We only collect information that we need to serve our customers as well as possible and to handle other matters related to our business and legal obligations. The information may also be used for marketing purposes if the customer has separately given permission. Personal data is processed in connection with orders, reservations, invoicing, contacts, transactions, information, marketing and other measures related to managing the customer relationship. You are not obliged to provide us with your personal data, but if you decide to do so, we may not be able to provide you with our service.

REGISTER INFORMATION

For bookings or orders, we ask for some personal and contact information such as:

• your name, address, email address and telephone number 
• your date of birth (to verify that you are of legal age)
• if you are acting as a representative of a company, your relationship to the company you represent

In addition, we may collect the following information for customer service and customer relationship management:

• citizenship and language used
• all information regarding reservations
• payment method information and billing information
• customer information about the use of our services and purchases
• information regarding the customer's choices and wishes (such as special diet information)
• marketing permits and prohibitions
• possible feedback and complaints
• possible other information important for managing the customer relationship

The Finnish Act on Accommodation and Catering Activities (28.4.2006/308) stipulates that accommodation establishments have an obligation to collect passenger information from guests. The information required by law collected in the passenger declaration is stored in a separate passenger register.

WHO PROCESSES THE INFORMATION

Information at Portaan Nahkurinverstas is processed only by those persons who need it to perform their work duties. Others do not have access to the information.

DATA RETENTION

The information is saved as long as it is necessary to fulfill the purposes of the register. The information is deleted when there is no longer a business or legal basis for its processing.

REGULAR DATA SOURCES

The data stored in the register is obtained from the registered person himself/herself in connection with the use of the services and during the customer relationship, by telephone, email or other similar means. The data can also be obtained through a tour operator, a booking service company (e.g. Booking.com) or a partner who has booked the service on your behalf. When we receive customer data from a third party, such as booking sites, all data is encrypted and sent to us securely. Our company cannot be responsible for the data that third party operators, such as online booking sites or travel agencies, collect and store in connection with your reservations. Our company is only responsible for the data provided to us.

Data may also be collected in connection with various marketing activities (e.g. trade fairs, sales events, social media). In addition, data may be collected from publicly available data sources, such as the websites of companies or organizations.

Our website uses the Google Analytics tool, which automatically collects usage statistics from the website for the purpose of monitoring, developing and planning marketing. The collected data cannot be identified to an individual user or person. Based on your web browsing, we may provide you with targeted advertising on other online services. For this purpose, we have embedded the Facebook Pixel tool on our websites, which may install cookies in your browser.

REGULAR DATA TRANSFERS

The processing of personal data may be outsourced to the extent necessary to fulfill the obligations of this Data Protection Regulation or the customer relationship (payment service provider, system administrator). The agreements between the controller and the processors of personal data take into account the requirements of the EU Data Protection Regulation and other legislation. Otherwise, we may disclose customer data to third parties only if the customer asks us to reserve third-party services for them. The data may be transferred for storage to Google services that comply with the requirements of the Data Protection Regulation.

DATA TRANSFERS OUTSIDE THE EU OR EEA

Personal data may be stored outside the EU in Google's cloud services. Data collected from Google Analytics cookies is also stored outside the EU. Data transfer may be carried out lawfully when the European Commission has decided that an adequate level of data protection has been ensured in the country of transfer (Article 45 of the General Data Protection Regulation).

Google is part of the Privacy Shield program between the European Union and the United States and is therefore committed to complying with the requirements set by the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Otherwise, customer data is not transferred outside the EU except in situations where a foreign tour operator requests a booking confirmation using the customer's data, for example for a visa application or other similar matter necessary for the implementation of the trip.

THE RIGHT OF THE PERSON TO SEE AND CONTROL THEIR DATA

Individuals have the right

• to see all the data collected about them by Portaan Nahkurinverstas, if there is any
• to request to delete or rectify their data (It should be noted that the data controller may have a statutory or other right not to delete the requested data.)
• to report their concerns about the use of data
• to prohibit the use of data for direct marketing
• to report that they do not want to receive any contacts or marketing messages from Portaan Nahkurinverstas or the Travel Tammela website
• to file a complaint with the Data Protection Ombudsman if they feel that we are violating the applicable data protection legislation when processing personal data.
